Please read the rest of the article/commentary. I am trying sooooo hard right now not to be a conspiracy theorist. But it's getting frickin' creepy, imo. Note: Dick Cheney, still on vacation. Nowhere around. |

If one is trying to not sound like a conspiracy theorist, one should not consider "haliburtonwatch.org" as a valid and meaningful link as "support" to the "thoughts". Wait a second...Haliburton has been there in the New Orleans area even BEFORE Cheney was VP? http://www.halliburton.com/news/arch...nws_022599.jsp How DARE they find a niche and provide services?!? Furthermore, the contract under which this work is to be done was awarded in 2004, l-o-n-g before we could have accurately predicted Katrina. I'll be nice. I'll be nice. I'll be nice.

this is a joke, right? Ferrets for Obama
Local ferrets have decided to endorse Barack Obama, reports say. The turning point came recently when Obama proclaimed, "I'm skinny but I'm tough." |

Um, I'm not saying a conspiracy theorist would think Katrina was blamed, derr....I'm saying that a c.t. could say they didn't care if the levy broke because it would lead to revitalization and hefty contracts for large companies. And Haliburton seems to profiting greatly from the disasters and choices of this administration.
btw, I said I'm *not* a conspiracy theorist. But I do think it's odd that Haliburton is profiting so well in this administration. |

Something to note, though, is that a lot of the companies seem to be under the Halliburton umbrella, but likely subsidiaries. So, just because they're all under the same umbrella doesn't necessarily mean that there has been wrongdoing. They are one of the favorites to bid on government jobs. We all know that the govt's have their favorite vendors, as do any other company. Halliburton subsidiaries bid and bid successfully, it appears.
I mean really...would it seem so odd to you to find out that ABC, Disney, ESPN and such are all owned by Disney? Or that NBC is owned by GE (Along with an uncountable number of other initatives etc). Sure, it's all big business, but big business is not ALWAYS corrupt. In fact, Sarbanes Oxley was going a pretty good distance to place a hefty amount of accountability. |

Eva, Halliburton is a huge Conglomerate and has recieved Contracts from numerous Administrations including the Clintons. They have Government clearances that are hard to acquire and work all around the Globe. Your buying in to Liberal Propaganda with these accusations.
