Is it wrong for people like Dr kevorkian (sp?) to assist people who are in pain and have deadly diseases to kill themselves?

I knew personally one of the people Dr. Kevorkian assisted so I might be too close to the subject but I think everyone has the right to decide when to end their lives when faced with incurable diseases and Pain that cant be removed by medicine
I remember the movie, "Soylant Green", where edward g robinson went to a suicide center (not sure if they called it that) but it looked like a stadium where he went into a room with a super sized movie screen in int and a bed in the middle of the room and while they administered the drugs to his system, he saw videos of those things that pleased him, memory wise and heard pleasant slow music to help him ease into death
thats what I think should be created but I dont hold my breath thinking that will ever happen
if I had some disease like Alzeimers or AIDS, I would probably throw a party and then afterwards go off and take care of it myself

I can take my cat to the vet to end her suffering if she were terminally ill and in pain. I think it's horrible that if I or a person that I love were terminally ill and in pain with no quality of life... I can't help end their suffering, and neither can their doctor.
THAT seems wrong to me.

I'm torn on this.
On one hand I can understand the desire to end a life full of pain. But on the other hand I am worried that it could get out of hand.
But I do know that when I put my dog or cat out of their misery, I am excersizing my superiority to my animal. I am saying I know what is good for them. I am hesitant to say that for another human being.
its time we started good ideas and making them viable and taking care of the "getting out of hand" in the legislation itself
too many good things dont get done because people against the idea over paint the "possible" bad futures of the idea

I don't think assisted suicide is wrong.
