"Go play with yourself"

If someone says this to you from the opposite side of a debate, what do you take it to mean?

I'm intrigued. Opus says he means something totally innocent by it, but I've never heard it used for anything other than crudity and occasionally crude humor.

What do you think?

Ok, actually I lied, I came up with another meaning... I might use it differently if I said it to a SMALL CHILD. To an adult I've only ever heard it used derogatively.

I'm with you on that one.
And it's usually said by boys under the age of 12 who ahve been insulted but can't think of anything more intelligent to say.

It's the juvenile equivalent of "go f*ck yourself*

I would agree, except for the wonderful rule of thumb - if you can interpret something in two ways, one offensive, and one not, interpret it the kind way.

Especially useful when you are told "your child plays well with others"... :)

I meant it as go talk to yourself in here and have fun because the debate is over

but some people can make anything seem dirty
