If so, what and why?

I only eat free range meat. Mostly because of the conditions in the slaughter yards.

Equity Apartments. When searching for a new apartment last year, we crossed off apartments off our list (even though we loved the apartment) because it was an Equity Apartment. Their management SUCKS very badly.

I try to avoid Kits Camera as often as possible because of too many bad experiences and ruined photos. Sometimes I have no choice.

THE IN LAWS ... :howling:

I boycott KFC and Abercrombie & Fitch.

KFC because of inhumane treatment of the chickens (not having to do with the most recent incident sited), and Ab.& Fitch because of their oversexualization of children.

nope, not really, although I don't get dominoes pizza anymore, because we got like 3 pizza's in a row that tasted bad by the second day, and we don't eat Ruby Tuesday's anymore, because they can't possible cook a hamburger so it isn't pink inside

Safeway stores...

A few years back I was on foodstamps and the kids got wic and when ever I went in there to shop I was treated horribly once they saw the checks or the food stamp card. And what was worse is they were flat out rude to my kids. I called the manager after one incedent when it was really bad. And I had had at least 5 other problems before and I told him what happend. He tried telling me she was having a bad day and I told him she needed a new job if she could not treat ALL the customers fairly, and told him it had happened more then once by different checkers and that I would NEVer again step foot in their store. And 4 years later I have yet to go back, and I never will.
Treat me like shit thats fine, but you treat my young kids like crap your stepping over the line. Thats how you'll piss me off and quick.

I don't see the point unless it's an organised boycott. On your own there's no way you can affect their sales figures and you could just be inconveniencing yourself if it ever turns out to be the only place open when you need something, or the only store of its type in an area. Even an organised boycott can be pretty ineffective - you can get too few people to make a difference, or get people agreeing because they sympathise with your cause but were never really customers anyway.

However failing to use a store because their merchandise simply isn't of the quality you desire, or dealing with them tends to cause you more hassel than not, I can understand.

As I said in another thread, I have no desires to make EVERYONE boycott what I do - it's just something I do for my own personal well being - to know that I'm not out there condoning the behavior.

I don't really "boycott" anything per se, but I do not shop at Walmart if I can help it. I don't like their employment practices for the main part.
