Why is it against the law for a women to have her nipple/breast exposed but not a guy?
Isn't that a sexist law/rule that needs to be changed?
I mean if men can freely expose their nipple why don't we have the same right? I have always wondered that. Why can guys walk around shirtless and not get arrested for indecent exposure but a woman walks around shirtless and gets fined or jailed. Thoughts?
After some of the man boobs I've seen on display, I kinda wish there WAS a law prohibiting bare male chests in public! :)

I think its dumb, especially when I've seen guys with bigger boobs than mine. Unfortunately in America, we'll probably never "desexualize" the female breast.

Well in a way i don't WANT my breasts desexualized - I mean, they ARE a part of my sexuality, kwim? But I do agree that the nipple is a private part of both a man AND a woman, and should be treated the same, though in the same breath I wouldn't vote for the man to have to wear a shirt swimming nor would I vote for a woman to be able to swim topless, so I'm just a big ole hypocrite lol.

1. It's a law because men are considered to be creatures that cannot control their desires as well as women.
2. Yes!! I'm all for topless women everywhere!!!
3. Again. It has to do with the males supposed inability to control themselves.

And that's ok with you, to be underestimated?

exactly what I was thinking, Valerie. King, do you feel that is the reason for the law, or do you AGREE with that assessment...

What she said. I couldn't come up with the words but you said it so ... in a odd way ... perfectly.
Side note, I will not be surprised if it does eventually become legal and even the norm to see women walking around topless.

Not at all. It's sexist and demeaning.

Bumping this. And adding, would you be ok with women walking around topless as men do?

I would be fine with it. It would be completely normal before long if everyone did.
Mens nipples are very sexual too. I don't think that is the reason entirely.

Speaking of nipples... mine are fabulous. And being a breast man i would like to form a nipplethon with 100,000 women walking barebreasted to demand equal exposure for womens nipples rights. Now that's a cause i could get behind, er uh i mean in front of.

I have always been confused about this too. It is just fat and glands that make a woman's breast tissue different, but a nipple is a nipple. I don't get what the fascination is with breasts.

Well, part of the problem is that legislators and public moralists think breasts and nipples are sex organs, rather than what they are - secondary sexual characteristics. Exposed genitalia, male or female, should probably be restricted exactly as they are, but nipples are getting a bit stigmatized here (which sounds quite painful, when it comes to that).

I dont want to show my nipples to the public. I dont care about mens nipples. I dont care that they show them. Its been that way for centuries. men can show them, women cant. Im okay with this.
If I went topless my nipples would get road rash from the sidewalk. That wouldnt be comfortable now would it? Then I would be road rash nipple lady. Thats not very sexy. I shall keep them covered and in a bra which holds the girls up high and mighty, Where they belong.

Well thank you for your protection. I am very fortunate that someone out there cares about my boobs. If I am ever in that situation, I shall send out a smoke signal and expect you to net those puppies ASAP.

Since I don't want gravity to bring them to my waist, even if it were legal to bare them, I also would keep them in a well-fitted bra. I especially appreciate the bra as I am breastfeeding--they get heavy!!
I would love to have a way to *not* see the big fat hairy man-boobs at the beach, though. One that doesn't involve poking my own eyes out with a sharp stick.
Well how about a bra that lifts them, but still exposes them? Like a less than demi-bra.
Yes, I must keep mine covered up and held up for my own personal safety. Road rash on boobs would just be too painful.

I MUST wear a bra. My customers really don't want my nipples in their coke :nono:
If I had young and firm breasts it might be different but alas, gravity has kicked in and they have a mind of their own :(
