What is your point?

Did you just forget that the Bay Area, California sits upon the San Andreas fault, and that some of the stongest most distructive earthquakes have happened in the Bay area? I will just say this we can see hurricanes comming and can run away from them, but no one can see an earthquake comming.

Corelation does not indicate causation. I live in Mpls - no hurricanes here - but there have been over 30 murders and plenty of other types of crime. Human behavior does not impact weather (outside of pollution). If you are interested in a real answer see the link below. However, I suspect you are just being preachy.
