What do you think of bisexuals?
Do they just have overactive hormones?
Are they just confused?
Are they greedy?
Is it simply a fad?

I think they're sexually attracted to both sexes, I really don't think anything more of them than that. I don't think they're bad, confused, or greedy. I suspect that some of them may favor one sex over the other while still being attracted to both.
There is the Kinsey scale here (http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/A570098) that rates people's sexual attractions (or was that behavior) from 0 to 6 with 0 being exclusively straight, and 6 being exclusively gay. I agree with the site in the link that to base it only on behavior would tend to be inaccurate. Basing it on who a person is attracted to sexually would make more sense, especially considering that not every person that one desires will agree to sleep with that person, and in some cases people can be forced or coerced into sex with those whom they ewouldn't normally allow to do them.

There was a time in my life when I believed that people who claimed bi-sexuality were just in denial about being gay (and I still believe that this is sometimes the case)But with the wisdom of years behind me, I now believe that many people can be, and are, sexually attracted to people of both sexes. i think it's more common than we know. I'm certain it's confusing for some of these people, but I don't believe for a second that 'they are just greedy' or 'that it's just a fad'. It's just another natural facet of human sexuality. Nothing to be feared.

I think bisexuals are lucky. They get to choose. :)
I also think homophobes are bisexual, and don't like that part about their self.

Some may be, just as all humans are at times.

No more than any other human. I don't believe sexuality has anything to do with greediness.

Sexuality is not a fad. Someone may not quite know what gender s/he prefers and does a little experimenting, but I don't call that a fad. I call that experiencing to figure life out. :)

Well now that I see people are actually debating this thread...I guess I need to clarify.
My post was an attempt to be a bit snarky. I feel that trying to cram bisexuals into ANY of those negative lables is just a way to create more anger and dissention especially in light of how I view human sexuality. I believe that we ALL are bi-sexual. Yes...the most gay of gays and straight of straights are bi-sexual.
I believe something like the "kinsey scale" or whatever it is.
However I put it a bit differently.
You have -10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 0 +1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+10
On one side you have homosexuality and on the other you have heterosexuality. In the middle, you have bisexuality. I believe that everyone is on this line somewhere. We might be born with particular genes that put us further to one side than the other. We live our lives and make experiences that influence where we are on this scale. And as we age and experience more....our scale number changes. And yes, even our own decisions can move us on this scale.
So now to answer those questions that were so unflatteringly asked.

Same I think of every other human being.

Taking into consideration my beliefs I think that some of it can be fad but some of it is genuine.

I think in high schools right now there is an element of 'fad' to bi-sexuality. It has gained favor and even considered 'cool' in some cliques. However, I think many more young people coming of age experiment with both sexes than care to admit. Which I believe is normal and healthy. And I agree there is a bisexual level to all of us, just in varying degrees. From a purely sexual standpoint when push comes to shove, I'm sure I could get turned on by someone making the right MOVES, rather than their gender.

I think that there are much fewer bisexuals than you'd think. I know that amongst "club age" young adults, girls will pretend to be lesbians/Bisexuals in order to attract guys. And how do I know this? I talk to my three kids (all in their 20's) and their significant others and friends.

I disagree here. I believe there are MORE bisexual that you think. :)
I agree with king's scale here for the most part.
I believe there are alot of people out there living in denial of their bisexuality. Plus, there are also many bisexuals that would prefer to keep there sex life completely private from some of the people they know. (If not everyone except their partner.) Especially if those people show prejudisms against gays and bi's. :)

I'm more "buy-sexual" than "bi-sexual"... she always makes me pay for it one way or another! :P
As for bi-sexuality being a "fad"... I dunno about the rest of you but I know *I'd* find it damn-well bloody difficult getting it on with another male just because it's the "in thing".
I'm sorry, but when it comes to my choice of sexual partner for the night I'll go for what gives *me* a boner and not what gives all my friends one... ;)

I'm in agreement with the concept that we all fall somewhere along a continuum between purely heterosexual and purely homosexual.
Over 20 years ago I learned about the Kinsey scale in a college course. Made sense then, makes sense now.
