Literally and animal has to die to get the coat so literally yes. An animal dies every time anyone eats meat too. Let's not forget leather.
I am against killing animals just for their fur. I am for using every part of an animal that is killed for food so if they can use the fur or leather then at least they are not being wasteful.
In more primative times the furs were needed for clothing. Now we have other options.

Yes, if you wear the coat or stol, then you are condoning the killing of innocent minks, otters, rabbits, etc.

I don't think so. I eat meat. I don't think I wear leather, but I can't be sure - some parts of my shoes might be. I don't wear fur because it's really not my style. Killing animals for my own preferences (with modern food and clothing no-one can claim need) isn't something that bothers me.

I don't know anything about fur production. If the animals are farmed, then they're reared for the purpose and wouldn't exist if they weren't farmed, so I have no objection (though I suspect that is not the case as I don't think the animals involved keep captive well). There may be a case against fur if the animals are wild because of the effect on the ecosystem, and possibly with inhumane methods of trapping.

Yes, just like the Native Americans. They use the entire animal right down to the marrow. To me, that is perfectly okay.

I believe it is murder. If someone is cold and starving, I can be alright with that. But if it's just for fashion, sport and senseless, then it angers me.

When their are other options that are just as lovely - faux fur - it seems like a waste to me.

Unless the person's intention is to use ALL of the animal...Then yes, it's murder.
