SFAS (Not my words)

It is popular to proclaim that whatever occurs between consenting adults, in their own privacy, is nobody elses business! That in actuality is incorrect! Though all have the right to privacy, there are many things which done in privacy, are illegal and have bad affects for the citizenry! Laws have been enacted to prosecute Mob activity, planned in private! Of coarse, what most of those who use those terms, are trying to excuse, is Sexual immorality, and Homosexual activity! But the future welfare of the Home and the Nation is determined by private activity!

Those who claim their actions are only their private concern, ignore or fail to recognize the unintended results of much behavior! The Nation is concerned and affected by: #1 The procreation of a new generation, and the home and teachings provided for the new life! #2 People being infected with, STDs, Syphilis and AIDs and the expenses and suffering from sexual diseases! #3 The loss of Self Respect, Virtue, and destruction of trust, home and marriage. #4 The vitality and honesty of our social fabric are of great importance to the community welfare! #5 The recent support of Immoral actions by Public figures in High Office has already lowered public expectation of indivigual responcibility! The obvious result will be higher welfare expences, from disfunctional families and illegitimate births, and STDs! #6 The activities of the gays, does nothing to teach the sanctity of the home and Mother and Father, indeed the propencity of the gays to act out and try to influence children of normal families, shows the lack of respect for the "Normal Home!"

So, do the private actions of consenting adults, affect the rest of us?

To an extent, the above is correct...As far as illegal activity being planned in private...but I totally disagree with this:
#6 The activities of the gays, does nothing to teach the sanctity of the home and Mother and Father, indeed the propencity of the gays to act out and try to influence children of normal families, shows the lack of respect for the "Normal Home!"

When are people going to get it into their skulls that being gay isn't wrong and I still don't see how they get that being gay is "disrespectful" to so- called "normal families". Are they insinuating that only "straight" couples can provide a "normal" environment to raise a child? I was raised in a "straight" family and lemme tell ya...my parents wouldn't know normal if it fell out of they sky, landed on their face and started to wiggle. Gay/Lesbian parents can provide loving and caring homes for their children.
So, I would have to say that I'm 50/50 about this subject.

I think I disagree with most of it. Yes illegal activities are planned in private, however the key word is ILLEGAL. Homosexuality is not (in most places at least) Illegal, and for the places it is, it should not be IMO. As for the spreading of sexually transmitted dieseases, it isn't as if you have to be gay to get an STD. straight people contract them too. It is being careless about safe sex that transmits diseases, not only gay activity. IMO the above was written by a homophobic person.

I'm with Jai and Mom2Burgess. I came from a "straight" family and it was FAR from normal or healthy.

Where did this come from? I would like to see the rest.

I think that even private actions can have an effect on others (positive or negative). I don't agree with their particular line of thinking though. It seems they want the world to follow their moral code. What a boring world that would be.
